Ice fishing on the Ostrovnaya River and Lake Kalygir
Your unique opportunity to catch Arctic and whitespotted char and smelt! Our guests can ice fish on the Ostrovnaya River from January through April. The harsh and beautiful nature of winter Kamchatka is especially appealing to the guests of the peninsula. Prepare to experience incredible emotions — you will see wild animals in their natural habitat, bathe in hot springs and, naturally, catch hundreds of fish.
Itinerary
Welcome!
Arrival to Kamchatka. Transfer from the airport. Visit to a fishing shop. Checking into the hotel (you can choose from Forest Hotel, AMTO, GUM). Another accommodation option is a hotel with a hot springs pool in Paratunka village. Free time.
Transfer to the camp
We depart from the hotel for the snowmobile boarding point at Radygino training area. Transfer to the camp at the Ostrovnaya River by snowmobiles. Accommodation in cosy lodges with stove heating. Fishing (optional).

Wrap up warm! Mornings are quite chilly. Short snowmobile trips to fishing spots on the Ostrovnaya. You can catch Arctic and whitespotted char. Hare and partridge hunting as an option. You can also watch Steller's sea eagles, foxes, otters, sables, mink, wolverines, lynx.

Early departure. A trip to Lake Kalagir, 55 km one way. Travel time: around 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on weather conditions. A snack on the lake, dinner on the Ostrovnaya.

The number of days fishing can be adjusted at the group’s request, but it cannot be less than 4 days. Longer accommodation and sightseeing tours of Kamchatka are available as an option.

Training level: amateur and advanced anglers. Beginners can rent fishing gear.
